The ‘Social’ and the ‘Cognitive’ in Language: A Reading of Saussure, and Beyond
Résumé : Le structuralisme, ou la linguistique structurale pour être plus exact, ainsi que la grammaire de Panini sont deux courants de la linguistique théorique qui sont apparus et réapparus l'époque modernes sous la forme de nombreux avatars différents. C'est en effet la marque distinctive de tout travail théorique profond d'avoir un impact à long terme dans son champ intellectuel.
Abstract : Structuralism, or structural linguistics to be more exact, along with the Paninian grammar are two currents in theoretical linguistics which have appeared and reappeared in modern times in many different avatars. It is indeed the hallmark of any profound theoretical work to have a long lasting impact in its intellectual field.
